Inquiries can be directed to Kelvin Fields of Hatch Ltd. Timeframe: September 17, until Highway 8 interchange is complete. The permanent closure is required due to ongoing concerns about unsafe U-turns on Highway 8. The intersection was scheduled to be closed this fall to allow for construction of the interchange in the Highway 8 and Stoney Trail area. Alberta Transportation will be implementing the full closure of the Highway 8 and Street intersection on Friday, September 17th.
As of this date, this intersection will close permanently. On-site signage and marked detours are deployed onsite to provide advanced warning and help drivers navigate through this area.
