The reality is everyone has their flaws. Do you see them as something that could last? I think so. But I put my phone on airplane mode lest it bling with news during this interview. Is there anything you can say about your character? Click here to subscribe. Not dread them…. Marlo had more air time and focus then just about anyone. Fail, Fail, Fail. And now we, the fans, have no more Rookie Blue. Thank you Tassie for being so selfish! Someday you will learn to listen to your fans!
And clearly the pattern would continue. And leaves the baby in the custody of a mother that was clearly unprepared and to be blunt, recently suffered from major bouts of instability.
It is so evident that the baby was just written in to create drama and little thought was given to the aftermath. You are so right. Thrown in and thrown in sloppy. No DNA test — how could Marlo be trusted after what she did in season 5 — and no baby name.
And I still say that Andy delivering the baby was the ultimate insult and soap opera play! Loved, loved, loved the Mcswarek thing, rooted for them from the beginning. Ditto to your comments as well! But I give a thumbs up to all who thought the show should go on for sure!!! The world is screaming for it. I wanted them to get back together.
If they need a Lesbian couple on the show—bring on another couple. Gail and Dov had a connection. They had chemistry on the screen. And with all her issues, she always seemed to put self aside when it mattered and do something for Dov or something he wanted her to do. He made her a better woman and she made him a better man. Go way back to the beginning. Loved Sam n Andy!!! Loved Gail n Dov!!! Loved Tracy with the detective—was it Leon??? Loved the show!!! Before that…7th Heaven. Before that, Andy Griffith!
And He could be her hero! Even to this point I still really want Gail and Chris back together. They had so much chemistry and good story lines ahead until they made the love triangle thing with Dov, which ended their relationship and then bamm Gail is a lesbian. I wish they would have brought it back for a 7th season. I too agree that there should have been a test for the baby, just so off the mark with it coming into the plot.
I do want to thank you for everyone on Rookie blue for all the years of enjoyment and entertainment! You all deserve an applause For all your creativity and all your hard work!! The last thing I would have wanted to see is new Rookies and less time for the original Rookie Blue cast. Jumping 6 months with Andy and Sam newly married and then separating them would have been a major disappointment to me and then losing Chris, another. Thanks for sharing Sherry.
All of our favs had been there six years…. So while im sad imm happy too. I loved the show and was disappointed it ended. From the start I knew it was based around Andy but I was more interested in all the other characters.
My favorite was Gail and loved it when when she fell for Holly. Living in the US , this was my first introduction to most of these players.. I look forward to following all of them. Thank you to the cast and crew for a wonderful show. The finale was cool, but left several questions unanswered.
What happened to the guy that was stabbed? I really love rookie blue. I can watch it over. And over again. My fav actors Andy and Sam just love them. Please can u bring season 7. I am hoping Netflix picks it up and adds more season. I think they should have 10 seasons. And when it does end—have a proper ending for each character. In fact I think a lot of us feel not only did you take a bullet, but you took it in the head. Rookie Blue was a great show with fresh stories and characters, till it became a daytime soap.
I also hated the Marlo baby line intensely. Why did Tassle do that? It ruined the whole show for me I must confess and nothing could sweeten it again. I imagine Andy and Sam having to live with Marlo and her drama the whole of their lives. I also skip all. I think Tassle boxed herself into a. I totally agree with the comment earlier as to how many really stupid shows seem to hang on, but a really good story like Rookie Blue gets the boot! We tried to follow that through for all of our characters by giving them new challenges, new characters to interact and watch them roll with it.
Tassie Cameron: Partly we picked that when we were developing the undercover story last season. We picked six months because it seemed like a really long time [for Andy and Nick] to commit to, so we wanted it to be a dramatic choice for Traci Enuka Okuma to say no and for Andy to say yes, especially knowing it would take her away from Sam Ben Bass for that long.
Sam and Andy have been separated for a couple months at a time but never this long, and it seemed interesting and more dramatic. It helped us establish that Andy and Nick have become really close friends.
Last we saw in the season three finale, they were about to embark on their undercover mission. How has their partnership evolved? Cameron: I think you can say [their relationship has grown deeper]. Nick and Andy have always been pals. He was her breakup buddy in season three and she helped him when he was missing work because he was hung over. Did it deepen after six months undercover? This was a little gem I found in the beginning of summer.
Despite being aired on Showcase, Global and ABC, I didn't really hear too much about this show until the first season was done. With the series being filmed and set in Toronto, I was surprised it took me so long to watch it. This show might be old news to a lot of people but personally, I only know a handful of people who have seen this.
So let me give a brief synopsis before getting into the review. On the surface, Rookie Blue looks nothing more than a typical police drama with hardly any big name actors No offence to Missy Peregrym and Gregory Smith but it is so much more than that. Perhaps it holds a special place in my heart because of its Toronto and Canadian connections. The best way to describe this show is Grey's Anatomy with cops instead of surgeons. Replace the interns with rookies and Seattle Grace with 15 Division and you got yourself, Rookie Blue.
The story is focused on 5 rookies All Canadian actors btw that just graduated from the academy, and follows their young careers as they experience the hardships of being a police officer both, on and off duty. Each rookie is assigned with a training officer and its a treat to watch the different dynamics of each pair, as well as the dynamics among the rookies as a group - learning together yet competing with one another to gain attention from the top dogs.
The main star of the show is rookie Andy McNally portrayed by the Montreal beauty, Missy Peregrym Stick It , she's a cop that has a lot to prove because she carries the baggage of her father, a worn out, burnt out homicide detective.
Some of the veteran cops include, McNally's training officer, Sam Swarek Ben Bass - who's the direct opposite of her, goes by instinct and tends to break the rules to get the job done, homicide detective, Luke Callaghan Eric Johnson and Nash's training officer, Noelle Wlliams Melanie Nicholls-King.
With such a big ensemble cast of interesting characters, I need to cut myself short, or I'd be typing forever.
